About Us

Who We Are
Primary Care Networks (PCNs) is a NHS initiative to provide at scale primary care services closer to patients, and working closely with other health and social care partners to provide seamless care to our registered population.

Our PCN is made up of 8 practices which have teamed up to start providing patients with a wider range of health and wellbeing services, specifically geared towards the needs of their local areas.

We believe in Unity in diversity  

Our allied staff are made up of  clinical pharmacists, physician associate, physiotherapist  , podiatrist,  social prescriber, health & wellbeing coach, Care Co-ordinator and Occupational therapist . A dietitian,  paramedic and psychotherapist will be joining our team in the near future.

Our stakeholders are: Local council  , PHE , NELFT, CCG, PPG, BHURT, St. Francis Hospice, Charity organisations such as Age UK ,  Cancer UK, McMillan and many more.

  • Dr Asif Imran

    Asif graduated from Ranchi Medical School in India in 1990.  He worked as a junior doctor for 2 years then went to Saudi Arabia where he was a junior nephrologist in Al Noor Hospital in Makkah. 

     Asif came to UK in 1997 and worked in Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester. This is where he completed his GP training in 2003 and moved to London in 2004. 

    He worked in several practices around B&D and joined as a partner in Upstairs Surgery in Chadwell Health. 

     Asif has been a principal GP partner for over 16 years and has witnessed many changes in the NHS.  He has found this both challenging and rewarding. 

     He also works for the out of hours doctors service (Partnership of East London Cooperative) since 2005.   

    He was elected as a council member representing Havering since 2012. 

     Asif is a member of the Local Medical Committee (LMC) for Havering, Barking and Dagenham, where he is part of the policy and strategy sub-committee. 

     Asif was appointed as a clinical director for Havering Crest Network in 2019 when the Primary Care Networks were formed. 

    His special interest is in diabetes, dermatology, nephrology, chronic diseases and medicine management. 

     He is a keen photographer, loves travelling, follows cricket, tennis and motorsports.  He enjoys attending sporting events at Lords and Wimbledon. 

     Asif is also a member of the World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) and attends regular international GP meetings.

  • Farhana Imran

    Farhana graduated from Queen Mary College, London University with a BSc honours in Mathematics in 1987 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Operations Research (solving business problems using mathematical tools) from Southampton University in 1989. 

     In between these two degrees, she worked for the Ministry of Defence as a junior statistician based in Blackfriars, London. 

    She went on to study accountancy where she was sponsored by her place of work, Mellon Bank.   

     Whilst studying for her diploma in management in 2012, she worked for a GP Surgery preparing a report on how to increase the income of the Practice by 20%.  This formed part of her diploma and was incorporated by the Practice. 

    She worked as a management account in the finance department at Dorset County Hospital in 2001. 

     Farhana started at the PCN in December 2019 as an administrator and moved to her current position 12 months later. 

    She enjoys both the variety of work as well as the flexibility. 

    Farhana is self-motivated and works well both in a team setting as well as on her own.  She is able to prioritise the work and likes to work to a timetable. 

     She enjoys painting, knitting and romantic books and movies. She was a collector of precious and semi-precious stones, but these were all stolen from her when she was burgled.

     Farhana teaches English and Mathematics to primary school children and mathematics to secondary school children as a tutor.  She has converted her garage into a classroom and enjoys the interaction with the children.  Her classroom has fully equipped library and internet access with a whiteboard.  

     Farhana dreams of a world where kindness and compassion are second nature to all of us.

    Roma has over 10 years’ experience working in the NHS and private clinics, as well as NHS intensive care, neurosurgery, trauma and orthopaedics, medical and surgical wards. In the private hospitals she has worked in elective orthopaedic, neurosurgery and cosmetic surgery wards.   

      

    She specialises in sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions as well as post-operative rehabilitation spinal and joint surgery. She has worked with well renowned surgeons and GP’s across London.  

      

    Roma has taken training in the use of acupuncture, electrotherapy, manual therapy, cupping, taping and pain management strategies. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, The Health and Care Professions Council and Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.   

      

    Her passion and goals include providing exceptional treatment to her clients, to help them achieve their goals, so that they can comfortably return to their daily activities or sports. To support and empower them to take control of their health. To continuously use the most current, evidence-based practice literature and continue learning to provide exceptional service to her clients with a holistic approach. She is passionate and takes pride in her work to help her patients get through their journey to recovery.

      

    Roma is multilingual and puts patient respect, belief, and dignity as some of her top priorities. She speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.   

      

    When Roma is not working, she enjoys dance, exercising, travelling, spending time with her family and friends and is also learning Spanish.
